The vision of the Men’s Ministry is to identify and develop the calling that God has given the men and boys of Greater Life and release them to live in their purpose.
A well-implemented ministry to men will identify, develop, and release the unique gifts of men into the life and service of the church. It will call men out of their spiritual passivity and equip them for Godly influence at home, church, and in society. Rather than adding an extra burden to church leadership, Men’s Ministry trains men, who can in turn train others. Men’s Ministry intentionally draws men to God and each other.
Men’s Ministry Leader: David Reed
My name is David Reed. I’ve been attending Greater Life since 2014. My wife, Denise, and I have two children (Leilani and Dominic) and a dog named Bella. In my spare time, I take pleasure in woodworking and DIY projects around my home. As a family, we enjoy board games, sunshine, and especially grilled food. We love family road trips and goofing off by the water in Duluth.
My passion for the men began as a passion for my family. Men play such a significant role in both the family and the church. My burden is for men to have a close relationship with our Lord Jesus and to know Him personally. It is the men’s job to lead by example – in praying for God’s Kingdom come and to BE what God has called us to be.
What I would like to see happen, is for the men to not only have a personal relationship with the Lord, but to have a corporate relationship as men of the church – with God. The men intentionally moving, as a body, for the visionary purpose of the fulfillment of each man’s ministry.
