Here’s what you can expect when you visit us at Greater Life.
How long are services at Greater Life?
Sunday Morning Service
A typical service is around 90 minutes long. While we follow God’s leading during our services here at Greater Life, a typical service might look like this: An emcee will open up the service to share announcements and welcome everyone, our worship team will lead us in a few songs, and then one of our pastors/ministers will share a message. At the end of the service, we will wrap up with a final song or two, as we invite everyone to some personal and corporate prayer time at the front of the church (altar). You’re invited to stick around and pray, meet someone new, or head out whenever you’d like.
Wednesday Bible Study
Our typical Wednesday Bible study is around 60-90 minutes long. The worship team will lead us in a few songs, and then one of our teachers will share a lesson. We have often have multiple groups meeting, such as Youth (ages 12-18), focused small groups, as well as the main study. We meet in the Fellowship Hall downstairs around round tables and often engage in group discussions during the lesson. Come for a lively discussion and great teaching!
What’s the culture like at Greater Life?
As the Lord practiced hospitality towards everyone in the Gospel, in turn, we believe and practice the acceptance of one another as Christ has accepted us. As you look around, you will see a variety of people and attire. On the outside, our physical features distinguish us, but in our hearts, we are united as a community by a common experience of the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
Services are geared toward both the long-time Christian and the first-time guest. When you walk out the doors at the end of a worship service or a Bible study, our hope is that you will have experienced God in a way you may never have before and learned something new.
What about my kids or youth?
Kids – both young and old – and families are a huge part of Greater Life, and that’s why we want to make sure your kids have a blast learning about Jesus every Sunday!
Greater Kidz is our Children’s Ministry with classes for kids, ages 3-11. On Sunday mornings following worship, we offer two classes: K.F.C. (Kids For Christ) for ages 3-5 years old and J.A.M. (Jesus And Me) for kids ages 6-11 years old. Classes for kids will incorporate prayer, worship, and Biblical teaching to challenge your kids to develop their relationship with God in a fun and safe environment. Youth, ages 12-18, join the adults on Sunday mornings, but meet separately on Wednesdays at 7pm during our Bible study.
A nursing room is also available during each service, with a live feed from our service broadcasting on screen, so you don’t have to miss out on any moment. An additional nursery is available for older children as well.
What accommodations do you have on-site?
We have an outdoor ramp on the west side of our building, right off the parking lot. This leads up to our second level, where our sanctuary (main service area) is. The main level, including the Fellowship Hall where we meet for Wednesday Bible study or host many of our events, is accessible through the street entrance off 40th.
