The Youth Ministry’s goal is to train and empower our young people to walk in their calling that God has planned for them. In doing so, we are allowing them to use their gifts that God has given them in setting other young people free for God’s kingdom. We want to help them realize that they are the church of today!

“Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.”

Jeremiah 1:4-8

As young people, we can feel inadequate sometimes because we don’t know everything and are still learning things. We can be doubtful and have fear at times of the unknown. Is this what God is calling me to do? Am I good enough to do it/qualified to do it?

David, a shepherd boy, said it best in Samuel, “Is there not a cause?” We have to be careful we don’t suppress or stifle young people. It was a young person that defeated Goliath with a sling, a stone, and with God. Young people are an unstoppable force when they have someone to believe in them. God used David to defeat Goliath in that moment and He will continue to use our young people here and now in this time.
